Cultivating Joy

Cultivating Joy, nurturing it, being with and in it, is a fundamental skill for doing sustained inner work, and for contributing to the well-being of the planet. Without a joyful heart, our inner work gets oh-so-serious. As our heart shrinks with this oh-so-sometimes-self-important-seriousness, so does our intuitive heart, and our visionary mind. We become spiritual drudges promoting idiot wisdom and negativity in spite of our wish to do good.. The Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu are beautifully joyful examples.
